PainBomb Plus Cannabidiol Oil (CBD)
     CBD Buyer's Guide

Extraction:  When comparing CBD, one of the most important factors is which extraction method is used.  Our CBD is CO2 extracted, Non-GMO Project Verified, and organic, which makes it some of the highest quality CBD found in today's market.  A huge concern is which, if any, solvents are used in processing CBD; as solvents are commonly employed, but acetone, butane, naptha, etc. are not residuals desirable in health products.  There were actually heavy metals and hexane found in the HempMeds CBD, known as RSHO.  This company supplies almost all CBD companies, and many products contain crystal isolate CBD (less health benefits but more money for them).  Hexane causes nerve damage and is very toxic, even with short-term exposure (MSDS link).  RSHO is used in most of the CBD products found everywhere on the internet, including Cibdex, Cibaderm, Kannaway, Dixie Elixirs, all are under the umbrella of Medical Marijuana, Inc.  CV Sciences is now bragging that they're working with pharma on synthetic CBD, their products are PlusCBD™ and Purified Liquids™.  Synthetic CBD isolates don't have nearly the health benefits that cannabidiol oil has, see "Overcoming the Bell-Shaped Dose Response of Cannabidiol By Using Cannabis Extract Enriched in Cannabidiol".

Percentage:  There are 1,000 milligrams in each gram of volume measurement, so when you see 70.5% CBD, or 22% CBD, the higher percentage is the most desirable, as actual CBD is proving to be one of the most effective plant-based medicines currently being studied.  DO NO GO WITH AN ISOLATE, its clinical use is limited.  In Cannabidiol oil, there are any number of natural components, which can include hemp oil and chlorophyll, and any number of cannabinoids, including CBD (Cannabidiol), CBDA (Cannabidiolic Acid), CBC (Cannabichromene), CBG (Cannabigerol) CBGA (Cannabigerolic acid), THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), & TCHA (Tetrahydrocannabibolic acid).  All of these cannabinoids serve a function, for instance, CBG aids sleep and inhibits cancer cell growth, and CBC promotes bone growth and reduces inflammation.  So, when comparing different CBD percentages, what you're looking for is a high CBD content with a low THC content.  The old school of thought was that THC is necessary to "activate" the CBD, but there are indeed conflicting studies on that subject.  Each individual endocannabinoid system does not have the same requirements, as all mammals are different and consume different diets, are exposed to different toxins, etc.  There are several different plants that are regularly consumed that contain cannabinoids, so it's impossible to say what works better for each individual, the need for more THC is debatable.  Because industrial hemp CBD is considered "whole plant", you have a nice balance of the two, vs. a marijuana plant with the THC removed (called synthetic isolates).  For more information on cannabinoids, see the illustration at the bottom of this page.

CBD Superfood Consumption:
  • If your CBD is in a syringe, carefully, and lightly, push the plunger to dispense a drop the size of a grain of rice.  If it is in a small jar, the best way to use it is mixed, in the "Best recipe" listed below.
  • A typical amount is 1 to 3 drops (rice-sized) per day, but there is no such thing as an "overconsumption" of CBD, just a waste of money after a certain point.
  • CBD can also be added to coconut oil and honey, which is a delicious combination.  Best recipe:  1/2 cup extra-virgin coconut oil and 1 tbsp local or Manuka honey per gram of CBD.  Suggested doseage is from 1/8 to 1/2 teaspoon per day.  Coconut oil is being studied to treat neurological issues, such as Alzheimer's and honey has proven to help with sleep disorders.
  • Depending on your personal reasons for CBD consumption, each gram should last from 3 to 6 weeks.

We carry 70.5 and 46.8% CBD in a legal CO2 extract, typical is 11-22%.  Indisputably, CO2 Extraction is the Cleanest & Healthiest Way to Extract.  This CBD is Non-GMO Project Verified,
organic,  contains no solvents, no residual petroleum products, such as butane, acetone, naptha, etc.
Some products such as RSHO have actually been found to contain hexane.
